Ambassador Award

Matt Dammeyer, Ph.D.

 

Matt Dammeyer, Ph.D., is a dedicated ambassador for the CDM, CFPP credential and shining example of advocating for all who serve in the nutrition and foodservice industry. His continuous support of the credential has made him an incredible asset to WY ANFP and its members.

He works to ensure the foodservice department and all other departments at Memorial Hospital of Converse County (WY) are engaged and their professional development efforts are supported. Matt values the input from his employees, and their hard work does not go unrecognized. After coming on board as CEO two years ago, he created a recognition program, Champions of Excellence. This program highlights the extra effort and hard work of employees that are recognized and rewarded for their efforts.

Miranda Dulmus, CDM, CFPP

Miranda Dulmus, CDM, CFPP is known for putting in hard work, whether in her facility or working toward obtaining the CDM, CFPP, which she earned this past spring. She is an employee that works hard to ensure accuracy and patient safety.

Though Miranda has cross-trained in many areas and has become the “go to” person in her department, she is ways willing to learn more. She has a passion for learning and a bright future ahead as a new CDM, CFPP.

Mary McKillip, CDM, CFPP

Mary McKillip, CDM, CFPP has 30 years of experience in working with special needs individuals and continually shows compassion and patience with her staff. She has fostered an environment to ensure each staff employee is valued, appreciated and set-up with the tools and resources to succeed.

Mary is also a known advocate for patients to ensure they have a positive dining experience within her facility. She understands the different needs of the patients and does her best to accommodate each of them always with empathy and great care.

Innovation Award

Jeff Whary, CDM, CFPP

Jeff Whary, CDM, CFPP was key in developing and implementing his facility’s IDDSI program. To ensure a positive dining experience for residents, Whary took the time to understand the needs of the residents and hired a puree cook/food artist to prepare meals that not only taste, but look like the food it represents.

Additionally, he regularly plans special meals with a festive twist that elevate dining for the residents. He has created an environment that encourages staff to contribute their ideas and help improve processes and overall dining experience.

Partnership Award

Margene Reno, MS, RDN

Margene Reno, MS, RDN has supported foodservice departments for over 30 years. She continually advocates for improving senior living communities and is a resource for hospitals across Minnesota and surrounding states. During the pandemic, she was key to ensuring her facilities had the proper equipment to serve residents and clients daily hot meals.

Additionally, she has become a valued resource in training foodservice departments in modified texture diets and tube feeding. She is a tireless advocate for ensuring that quality is not sacrificed when serving these types of meals. Margene is dedicated and passionate about supporting others in the work they do on behalf of patients and residents.

Tammy Harms, CDM, CFPP 

Tammy Harms, CDM, CFPP has been a CDM, CFPP for many years and her dedication has not wavered. She is admired by staff and has set a leading example. She is known to consistently put her residents’ needs first and accommodate their requests whenever possible.

Tammy continually maintains a positive attitude even through the pandemic and recent structural damage to her facility. She has created an environment where employees grow and thrive, and residents appreciate the extra attention and effort she puts forth to meet their needs.

Dining Distinction Award

Li-Huei (Emily) Chen 

Li-Huei (Emily) Chen is the Director of Foodservice and Nutrition at Kin On in Seattle, Washington. She provides residents a unique and authentic dining experience featuring Asian dishes wile meeting the dietary standards and requirements of residents. Emily ensures residents have a positive dining experience with every meal incorporating familiar Asian ingredients in dishes that are significant in meaning, all while residents can use distinct table manners and appropriate utensils for Asian dining.

She ensures the dining room is decorated in a manner that is inviting and festive that encourages interaction among the staff and residents.

TomThaman

Distinguished Service Award (Member)

Tom Thaman, CDM, CFPP

Tom Thaman, CDM, CFPP has been in the foodservice industry for over 18 years and has recently retired but continues his legacy as an active volunteer and steadfast supporter of ANFP and the credential. Thaman has served on several committees and boards in addition to his roles as a chapter leader, all while overseeing a foodservice department that served over 3,000 meals daily.

He also spearheaded not only the collaboration with Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana and the Indiana Department of Health, but also was funded by the Ryan White Foundation to produce frozen meals servicing 500 clients living with HIV and AIDS throughout the State of Indiana delivered on a weekly basis.

Distinguished Service Award (Corporate Partner)

Amy Bollam, RDN, LP, MPS

 

Amy Bollam RDN, LP, MPS has been a dedicated Corporate Partner of ANFP for many years. Bollam is a tireless ambassador for ANFP in pursuit of our mission to position the Certified Dietary Manager as the expert in foodservice management and food safety. She is a highly regarded thought leader on issues impacting the foodservice industry and shares her knowledge through many different avenues, always highlighting the knowledge and expertise of our members. 

 

Bollam’s service to ANFP has included volunteer leadership roles on both our Industry Advisory Council and our Board of Directors. She is a frequent and popular speaker at our live events and on many webinars, providing exceptional continuing education to ANFP members. Bollam is highly regarded and respected by her fellow Board members as someone who listens and distills issues carefully and thoughtfully, resulting in countless contributions to help ANFP thrive and grow.

Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award

Rosalind Davis, CDM, CFFP

Rosalind Davis, CDM, CFFP has been the backbone of the Illinois ANFP chapter for many years. Most recently, during the pandemic, she personally phoned over 500 chapter members to invite them to chapter meetings and become involved. She was able to recruit new chapter leaders because of these efforts.

Davis continued her efforts by contacting other healthcare organizations and administrators throughout the state and raising awareness of the CDM, CFPP and the chapter. Rosalind also regularly travels throughout the state to introduce high school students to foodservice and credential, education a new generation of future CDM, CFPPs.
