"I greatly appreciate NFEF for the financial support and the opportunity to become a CDM, CFPP. Your investment in my education humbles me, and I am now more driven than ever to create a fully rewarding educational experience, not only for myself, but for my little family and my work family. Your gift is not only assisting my financial needs in the present, but it is ensuring my success in the future for my residents and myself. This grant impacted not only my life but my residents. After receiving this grant, I took the CDM, CFPP exam, and I passed. I then went on to provide my residents with exceptional person-centered care within the nutrition/dining experience. Every day is a learning experience for me and my team, but together we will succeed. My favorite quote I use "Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." by Andrew Carnegie. I know that I could have not done the CDM classes without the support of my teammates, facility (Attica Long Term Care), my family, Robbie Clarke (RD) who inspired me to become a Registered Dietitian in the future, as well as NFEF for the generous grant."
