Happy ANFP Volunteer Appreciation Week! Our volunteers are essential to the organization and driving force behind ANFP, and key players in the nutrition and foodservice industry. This week, you will receive messages of gratitude and appreciation along with opportunities to network, earn CE, and win prizes. We hope we can convey to our volunteers, even if in a small way, our appreciation for each of you and all that you do for our members. No matter the role you serve in, your work supports ANFP in a big way. Collectively, we are moving the organization forward and providing programs and services to our members that support their growth and success, and we hope you are proud of your contributions. Learn how you have made a positive impact this past year. Thank you, Volunteers!
Chapter Meetings/Education – During our last fiscal year, chapters offered a total of 60 meetings, webinars, and workshops. These sessions ranged from 1-hour webinars to multi-day, virtual and in-person conferences, often offered at a minimal cost, providing our members with abundant opportunities to earn CE.
Total CE Offered – Between webinars and live education sessions, chapters offered a total of 602.25 CE hours! The CE offered were a combination of general, ethics, sanitation, and food show credits that covered a variety of topics.
Value of Volunteer Time – According to the Do Good Institute (University of Maryland) and the Independent Sector, a volunteer’s time is currently worth $34.79! While the value varies state-by-state, ANFP knows our volunteers' time and dedication are invaluable.
If you are not including your volunteer experience on your resume, now is the time to showcase your experience and value. Volunteers are also encouraged to share their contributions with this letter to your supervisor to let them know your work as an ANFP volunteer is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Volunteers, for all you do for our members!
