Food for Thought

As any ANFP member knows, training is one of the many keys to success. Volunteer training is no different. With fall meetings in full swing, chapter leaders can make the most of the meeting planning experience and train incoming officers with hands-on training or allow them to shadow current chapter leaders throughout the process. From creating the budget, to board and business meetings, to on-site registrations, incoming chapter leaders can learn “the ropes” before taking office next year. They can also prepare for their roles with our new and updated webinars and online courses.

President/President-Elect Training – This webinar covers the role and responsibilities of the president/president-elect. It also covers board meeting need-to-knows, Robert’s Rules of Order pointers, governing documents, and what is required for the chapter rebates and how to complete these requirements. You can find this webinar on ANFPtv.

Financial Management Training – We also have two webinars which cover financial management of the chapter, including a demonstration of how to use the financial report as well as the Crowded banking platform.

Chapter Treasurer Budget & Finance – While similar to the Financial Management webinar listed above, this course dives into the treasurer's role in more detail. Additionally, it walks learners through the step-by-step process of creating a budget and tools to help the treasurer manage the chapter’s finances. This course is available in the ANFP Marketplace and can be purchased at no cost (for chapter leaders only) with the following code: CHAPTREAS25
