Our December 2020 CDM, CFPP of the Month is each CDM, CFPP!
When 2020 began, we were looking forward to a landmark year celebrating ANFP's 60th anniversary milestone. Although our celebrations could not move forward as planned with the cancellation of our live events, we were given the much greater gift of seeing the real-world impact of each CDM, CFPP.
Each month, ANFP recognizes one certified member as our "CDM, CFPP of the Month." This individual goes above and beyond to implement innovative changes that keep them at the cutting edge of non-commercial food service.
To close out this year, we are recognizing each of our Certified Dietary Managers, Certified Food Protection Professionals as our CDM, CFPP of the Month!
2020 has been a year full of previously unimagined challenges as we have continued to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, CDM, CFPPs have been called upon to care for our most vulnerable. The job has not been easy, and you've had to adapt to obstacles, but you have repeatedly proven that CDM, CFPPs can rise to any challenge. Your training, education, and experience had you positioned and ready to lead your department and facility through these difficult times.
ANFP has seen many milestones over the years — offering of the credentialing exam, creation of the Nutrition & Foodservice Edge magazine, establishment of the Nutrition & Foodservice Education Foundation, and so much more. Through it all, one thing has remained consistent: the passion and commitment of our members. Without you, there would be no ANFP.
We have chosen to honor each CDM, CFPP for what we have known for 60 years: foodservice professionals are essential. Your hard work, tireless commitment, and resilience in overcoming obstacles do not go unnoticed.
Thank you, CDM, CFPPs! The career you have chosen is certainly not the easiest, but the impact you make is far-reaching. We hope that each of you knows how appreciated you are by all of us at ANFP.
As we close out our 60th anniversary year, look to 2021 ready with the knowledge you have gained during the challenging months we leave behind. Know that you are appreciated and essential.
