Message from the Chair

Dear ANFP Members,

Happy Member Appreciation Week! On behalf of the Board of Directors for the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP), I wanted to personally thank you for your membership.

This week, as we celebrate the sixth annual Member Appreciation Week, we want to thank you for the ways you’ve adapted to the challenges of the past year. We have planned a week full of celebrating our members with giveaways, webinars and education, and prize drawings. Our association remains strong because of loyal and dedicated members like you. The longevity and health of our association – over 60 years – is thanks to dedicated and engaged members like you.

We’re kicking off this week by offering you one FREE General Continuing Education hour! We know that free and discounted CE opportunities are important to you. I encourage you to regularly visit the Discounted CE page on the ANFP website so you can stay abreast of the most recent opportunities to save on continuing education costs. These opportunities include the CE monthly special, notifications of other free CE offerings throughout the year, and sponsored CE thanks to ANFP’s generous corporate partners.

As part of this year’s Member Appreciation Week, we have embraced the virtual meeting and networking format that has been so prominent in the last year. We have put together a number of exciting webinars for you to participate in each day Monday – Thursday. For the full schedule and registration information, you may visit our Member Appreciation Week webpage.

We have also been searching for ways to incorporate new and exciting member benefits for you to take advantage of. One of our most recent additions from the last year is our partnership with Real Rewards Cafe. Real Rewards Cafe allows foodservice operators like you to earn points from qualifying purchases you are likely already making at work. These points can be applied to a number of places, including toward your annual ANFP membership dues. I hope you can attend the informational webinar on Thursday to learn more about this program.

As we all know, the last year has been full of unprecedented challenges. I encourage you to visit ANFPConnect. There is no better place to search for solidarity in these challenges than our member community. Here you can network and learn from your fellow professionals who are facing the same challenges and successes that you do. I challenge you to head to ANFPConnect and share words of encouragement and positivity or provide resources that are working for you in your facility. If you haven’t visited our COVID-19 Resources page yet, there is a lot of great information for foodservice professionals.

As we celebrate you this week, I also recommend taking advantage of our other benefits. Save money with our member discount programs, access government regulations documents, and more! If you have any questions regarding member benefits, CE hours, or anything ANFP related, contact ANFP at 800.323.1908 or info@ANFPonline.org. ANFP associates will be happy to help!

Thank you again for your continued commitment to our association. Because of you, ANFP has become the premier organization for foodservice professionals. Serving as your chair has been a great honor, and I look forward to continuing on this journey with all of you. Happy Member Appreciation Week!
