“I feel this opportunity has helped me grow as a CDM in so many ways, one of them being my ability to show my appreciation to my staff. I have done this in the past and it opened my eyes to many more reasons and ways to show my appreciation to them. I learned a lot about the challenges each facility might face. I've made some great contacts to reach out to and ask for ideas and suggestions to help resolve different issues that I might face in the future. I also discovered new technology for my department that might help us save in cost and become more efficient with our time.

Most importantly, I took the next step to becoming a volunteer at the state level. As the current Secretary for my Kansas West District, I hope to one day reach the state level as President. I'm on my way!”
