MDS and Patient Drive Payment Model Changes Webinar
What is the Impact on the CDM’s World?
CMS has changes set for the MDS on October 1, 2019 which impacts nutrition cares. In January 2020, the Patient Drive Payment Model (PDPM) will take the stage to set a new standard of cares for reimbursement.
This webinar will share what we as CDMs need to know to assist our long-term care communities in maximizing resident choices, cares, and dollars.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the overall MDS RAI changes for nutritional professionals
- Determine what is important for Section K
- Discover how to assess the Patient Drive Payment Model (PDPM) and know what a CDM needs to know to maximize choice, care, and dollars
Speaker: Barbara Thomsen, CDM, CFPP, RAC-CT, ICAC is a resident assessment coordinator and an adjunct instructor with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, having worked in facilities, government roles, and in many national board positions. She has conducted numerous long-term care educational sessions across the country and currently is an Independent Health Care Consultant/Educator for ANFP as the Education & Regulatory Outreach Consultant.
