Leadership Institute | Monday, June 15

MANAGEMENT IS ABOUT COPING WITH COMPLEXITY. LEADERSHIP IS ABOUT COPING WITH CHANGE.

Learn and practice the real competencies of leadership. Begin your journey from manager to leader by participating in the ANFP Leadership Institute taught by expert leadership instructor, Kristi Salisbury, CDM, CFPP, RD, President and Owner of dk Foodservice Solutions LLC. Kristi will address the unique dynamics of a foodservice environment. This course and workshop has been designed for any level of foodservice manager who is looking to challenge their skills and build a network of peers.

This course is offered as a hybrid format which consists of six hours of online work and four hours of in-person learning and discussion as a pre-conference to ACE 2020. The six hours of online work consists of weekly reading and discussions taking approximately 1-1.25 hours/week starting May 4th. This will run for four weeks, covering one pillar each week. Completion of online portion is required by May 31st. You must successfully complete this work prior to the pre-conference live event.

NOTE: Leadership Alumni may take the complete 10-hour course, but only 4 hours of CE will be received.

Pillar 1: Leading Change
Involves the ability to bring about strategic change, both within and outside the organization, to meet personal organizational goals. Inherent in this theme is the ability to establish (or participate in establishing) an organizational or personal vision and to implement it in a continuously changing environment.

Pillar 2: Leading People
Involves the ability to lead people toward meeting the organization’s vision, mission, and goals. Also involves the ability to provide an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflict.

Pillar 3: Leading Strategically
Involves the ability to meet organizational and personal goals and expectations. Inherent in this theme is the ability to make decisions that produce high-quality results by applying technical knowledge, analyzing problems, and calculating risks.

Pillar 4: Leading Collaboratively
Involves the ability to work with others to manage human, financial, and information resources strategically and collaboratively in order to achieve organizational goals. Includes the ability to build and sustain a personal network of people to attain personal and business success.

Registration Options

Leadership Institute - 10 hour CE Online Course/Workshop 9 GEN & 1 ETH (Cost $99)

Leadership Institute – 4 hour CE In-Person Workshop 3 GEN & 1 ETH (Cost $59)
Pre-Requisite: Leadership Institute Alumni
The in-person only workshop is for those who are Leadership Institute Alumni. This session will include a review of the four pillars of leadership, plus the addition of ethics in leadership. Enhance your leadership skills through interactive discussions with former alumni and recent students.



The ANFP Leadership Institute forum I attended in 2012 was the most rewarding and inspiring forum I have ever attended. The experience enabled me to expand my interpersonal and communication skills, set me on a path to foster leadership in others, and continue my dedication to lifelong learning.
