One of the best places to start planning a career in nutrition and foodservice is the Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) certification program, administered by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM).
The CDM, CFPP is more than the letters after your name. It’s a career path that demonstrates your commitment to excellence in dietary management, and defines you as a highly qualified professional in your field.
Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professionals (CDM, CFPPs) are nationally-recognized experts at managing foodservice operations and ensuring food safety. When you earn the credential, you prove your competence in the areas of foodservice management, personnel and communication, nutrition, sanitation and safety, and business operations.
Your pathway to eligibility for becoming a CDM, CFPP can be flexible. Some students attend classes part-time while working in food service, and some choose independent study or online options. If you already have a related degree, you may already qualify for the CDM, CFPP Credentialing Exam. There are multiple pathways to qualify!
