"Receiving the NFEF grant has impacted my career in such an amazing way. I have been growing more confidently in my culinary career receiving promotion and salary advancement. Currently I am working as a culinary manager at Autumn Leaves Memory Care facility. Autumn Leaves is a community designed specifically for people in various stages of dementia and Alzheimer's. Our culinary program provides residents daily with high quality, fresh, wholesome and nutrient dense foods, with their preferred meal choices while ensuring their nutritional needs are met. We provide our residents with three scratch-based meals per day in addition to three snack options. My facility recognizes my accomplishments by giving me full creative control in menu and recipe development, food quality expertise, and kitchen operations. They rely on my talents and abilities to ensure that I exceed all expectations, and, I do."
