ANFP & CDMs

Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) is a national not-for-profit association established in 1960 that today has over 14,000 professionals dedicated to the mission of providing optimum nutritional care through foodservice management

Certified Dietary Managers, Certified Food Protections Professionals (CDM, CFPP) are experts at managing dietary operations. They are trained and qualified to:

administer menus, food purchasing, and food preparation
apply nutrition principles
document nutrition information
ensure food safety
manage work teams

A CDM has proven her/his ability to take on these responsibilities through education, training, experience, and by passing a nationally-recognized credentialing exam. The CDM, CFPP credential maintenance requires 45 hours of continuing education (including five in sanitation) every three years.

State Chapter

About
Our state organization (NY ANFP) is composed of approximately 300 CDMs working in correctional facilities, hospitals, long-term care, schools and other noncommercial establishments. The purpose of this website is to communicate goals, activities and opportunities to the members of the New York DMA and introduce to the community what it means to be a Certified Dietary Manager. This is an exciting time to a part of ANFP and NY ANFP!

Meetings
State meetings are held every spring and fall. First time attendees (members or students) will receive a 25% voucher for registration to attend one NY ANFP meeting in 2012. The chapter is also divided into districts. Chapter and district meeting details can be found on the News & Events tab.
