American Dietetic Association Supports “Safe Food for Seniors” Legislation

The American Dietetic Association is interested in supporting Safe Food for Seniors legislation drafted by ANFP that would fill a void in federal regulations. Currently, no specific training is required for full-time foodservice directors in long-term care who are not registered dietitians. Representatives from ADA and its practice group -- Dietetics in Health Care Communities – met with reps from ANFP to learn more about the CDM, CFPP credentialing program. ANFP drafted responses to ADA’s specific questions, and these answers will be posted on ANFP’s website -- Coming Soon! (www.ANFPonline.org)
