Regulatory Compliance Consultant

Summary:
Develops and oversees programs to provide regulatory compliance information and training for all Dining and Nutrition Services staff. Develops and monitors reports that are reviewed by regulatory compliance agencies (JCAHO, local Health Department, State Licensure and Long-term Care). Responsible for interpretation of regulatory standard guidelines and communicating the guidelines to management team, Carilion-owned facilities, Carilion-managed facilities and business partners. Consults with Dining and Nutrition Managers organization-wide in regards to staff development, quality management, performance improvement and regulatory compliance within Carilion Clinic, Food Service Partners and their customers. Assists team in the procurement and inventory of food, supplies and equipment to support dining services operations. Supports development and maintenance of computer system as it relates to Dining and Nutrition operations.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required, as well as the completion of an American Dietetic Association approved internship or clinical experience. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) to five (5) years experience as a Dietitian, demonstrating increased and/or diversified responsibility and diversified experience in dietetics. Management experience preferred.
LICENSURE/REGISTRATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION:
Registered Dietitian (RD) required. Certification in SERV-Safe and instructor credentialing required; or ability to obtain within year one in this position.
